The Appearance: Art of the Asian Diaspora in Latin America & the Caribbean
September 4 – December 14, 2024

The Americas Society is proud to present its latest exhibition, The Appearance: Art of the Asian Diaspora in Latin America & the Caribbean, which explores artistic production of the Asian diaspora in the regions from the 1940s to the present. On view until early December, the exhibition is complemented by a series of public programs, including panel discussions and a live artist performance throughout its duration. All events are free and open to the public with advance registration.

Ghost Stories x Asia Art Archives in America: A conversation with the Asianish collective

Join Art at Americas Society as the Asianish collective founders share their perspectives on community and their practice.

The Appearance: A Conference presented by Americas Society and Asia Society
Tuesday, October 29, 2024, 2:30-8pm 

The two institutions host an afternoon-long program, which includes an artist spotlight, a roundtable, and a keynote presentation by Tao Leigh Goffe. Speakers include Mariola Alvarez, Howie Chen, Kolleen Ku, and Tao Leigh Goffe.
